Summer 2011 Activities
Kayaking and Canoeing
Kayaking - Over the summer we've been running kayaking sessions on Tuesday evenings at Shaw's Bridge. It's been a very enjoyable
time with both new and more experienced paddlers picking up new skills. The sessions had had Scouts, Explorers, leaders and
parents out on the water enjoying the lighter evenings. Sessions will continue up the start of September.
To register an interest, please send an email to
activities@cathedralscouts.com
with the names, ages and a contact email address of those interested. It would be helpful if in replying you could indicate what previous
paddling experience each person has. This will allow us to put people in groups with similar skill sets.
All participants must be able to swim. Boats, helmets, buoyancy aids, paddles and cags will be provided. Personal kit
can be used subject to agreement by the coach in charge of the session.
Sailing
We hope to organise two evening sessions at Craigavon Watersports Centre on Wednesday evenings late August. Names please
